The system has a population between 10,000 and 10 million, lacking the industrial base to be completely self-supporting. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Laraa Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector and in the Domain of Vland. Narkur'le, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight, a member of the Imperial Landed Nobility who acts as an Imperial representative to the world. During the Long Night this world was named Adir.
Astrography and Planetology
Narkur'le is a member of the Uumirsa Trail.
Stellar Data
History and Background
Narkur'le is best known as a trade nexus for Scanian Nehuitei and other independent traders. Cargo exchange is generally handled by the Halconi' orbital port which boasts A-class facilities.
The planet itself is primarily a rest and recuperation port and boasts only one main city, Hasseim. The only major export, apart from religious artefacts, is Memh.
World Starport (St)
Narkur'le has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which features amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.
Linguistic Topography
The following languages are among the most commonly heard here:
- Anglic: One of the two official languages of the Third Imperium.
- Göheimsan: A ceremonial language used by the Scanian culture; apparently descended from 22nd Century Terran Hebrew, Arabic, and Russian.
- Irkonee: The predominate language of the Geonee.
- Vilani: One of the two official languages of the Third Imperium.
Point of Interest: Active Religious Communities
Hasseim, the main city, is held in high religious and cultural regard by the Brethren who at the Council of Unification established the basic tenets of their belief -- the Church of the Forever Sabbath whose second prophet, Shura Emmanuel, was born in 105 at what is now the Shrine of the Soul. The Scanians celebrate the birthplace of the famous Rabban Halc Shagraa and his school of Yahei Ve'lma. Throughout the centuries, where there has been a great deal of religious tension between the various religions, the Scanians have managed to maintain harmony.
