Talk:Logos Belt (world)
Is this a colony of Verstand (Theta Borealis 2729)? (q from BWT)
According to the description, it is administered from Phonecia (world), but with Verstand competing for control of other planets and asteroids in the subsector, it seems entirely possible that the Logos Belt could be controlled by multiple external factions, perhaps including governments and corporate interests from Phonecia, Verstand (world), Ratan (world), and Dennson (world) as those all have high populations and a demand for imported resources. Is that strong EM noise accompanied by extensive plasma ejections from the star? If so, there would be an accompanying radiation hazard in space with each belt settlement needing deep shelters for those occasions when the plasma clouds come their way User:BackworldTraveller
As a "turbulent subgiant" of type K0 IV it is entirely possible for coronal mass ejections to be a hazard, even in the far Outer System; although strong EM noise can be steadily produced by stars at a background level without necessarily releasing large amounts of material, the causes of strong EM noise often seem to be associated with solar flares and plasma cloud eruptions, so constant radiation protections would probably be required even at a distance of several Astronomical Units away from this type of "turbulent" star.
