Making a table[edit]

I tried to make a table like this, but I couldn't quite get it to format nicely.

Jump-? world 1
world 2
Jump-?
world 3
Jump-?
world 4

I think I see what you are trying to do, and that looks ok to me.
Number Distance Worlds Connected
1 Jump-4 world 1
world 2
2 Jump-4
world 3
3 Jump-3
world 4
The only real change I made was to remove the "rowspan=2" from the last table row. Tjoneslo (talk) 18:53, 18 June 2018 (EDT)

OK, I'll test it out here, and copy after I get it looking nice. Ideally, all but the fourth column would be centered, rather than left-justified. I know there's an HTML attribute that affects an entire column, but I don't know whether it works in a wiki table.
Step Distance Worlds
1 Aulryakh/Aulryakh (Riftspan Reaches 0507)
1–2 Jump–5
2 Eao/Trawo (Riftspan Reaches 0711)
2–3 Jump–3
3 Tleae'ah/Aokiylair (Riftspan Reaches 0913)
3–4 Jump–3
4 Souyehkeahte/Aokiylair (Riftspan Reaches 1115)
4–5 Jump–3
5 Hyarlih/Aokiylair (Riftspan Reaches 1415) *
5–6 Jump–2
6 Arleaya/Aokiylair (Riftspan Reaches 1615) *
6–7 Jump–2
7 Aoki/Ryuhleiea (Riftspan Reaches 1816)
7–8 Jump–5
8 Ahfatre/Ryuhleiea (Riftspan Reaches 2219)
8–9 Jump–3
9 Stairearlehfa/Aohelroiao (Riftspan Reaches 2521)
9–10 Jump–3
10 Uihwayu/Hryehkhtyel (Riftspan Reaches 2423)
10–11 Jump–4
11 Uiryo'yahoh/Aohelroiao (Riftspan Reaches 2726)
11–12 Jump–3
12 Esui/Aohelroiao (Riftspan Reaches 2729)
12–13 Jump–3
13 Hluarelai/Aohelroiao (Riftspan Reaches 3030)
13–14 Jump–3
14 Oisyasais/Wahtoikoeakh (Riftspan Reaches 2933)
14–15 Jump–3
15 Wahtoikoeakh/Wahtoikoeakh (Riftspan Reaches 2936)

* Note that either Hyarlih or Arleaya, but not both, could be skipped. The high-population, A-starport world Hkurlei/Aokiylair (Riftspan Reaches 1517) could be substituted for both to save one jump along the customary route.

Sorted to the route

  1. Aulryakh/Aulryakh (Riftspan Reaches 0507)
  2. Eao/Trawo (Riftspan Reaches 0711)
  3. Tleae'ah/Aokiylair (Riftspan Reaches 0913)
  4. Souyehkeahte/Aokiylair (Riftspan Reaches 1115)
  5. Hyarlih/Aokiylair (Riftspan Reaches 1415)
  6. Arleaya/Aokiylair (Riftspan Reaches 1615)
  7. Aoki/Ryuhleiea (Riftspan Reaches 1816)
  8. Ahfatre/Ryuhleiea (Riftspan Reaches 2219)
  9. Stairearlehfa/Aohelroiao (Riftspan Reaches 2521)
  10. Uihwayu/Hryehkhtyel (Riftspan Reaches 2423)
  11. Uiryo'yahoh/Aohelroiao (Riftspan Reaches 2726)
  12. Esui/Aohelroiao (Riftspan Reaches 2729)
  13. Hluarelai/Aohelroiao (Riftspan Reaches 3030)
  14. Oisyasais/Wahtoikoeakh (Riftspan Reaches 2933)
  15. Wahtoikoeakh/Wahtoikoeakh (Riftspan Reaches 2936)

I also tried it without the class="wikitable", but it looks pretty bare that way. Ideally, it would be nice to make the hairlines above the first Step and Distance entry go away, and likewise the last entries of the same column, but without throwing off the vertical spacing.

Step Distance Worlds
1 Aulryakh/Aulryakh (Riftspan Reaches 0507)
1–2 Jump–5
2 Eao/Trawo (Riftspan Reaches 0711)
2–3 Jump–3
3 Tleae'ah/Aokiylair (Riftspan Reaches 0913)
. . . . . .
00 world . . .

Neat. Even smashing.
