Sutter's Trace is a dispersed cluster of stars lying within the Empty Stars.
Details / Specifications[edit]
The Cauldron Spill is a large grouping of stars covering parts of Ledge Sector, Perfection Sector, Range Sector, and Tarchon Sector. It is bounded by the Rimward Deep to spinward, the Basilisk's Horns Divide to trailing, and the Basilisk Rift to rimward.
History[edit]
The positions and types of the stars that make up Sutter's Trace have been cataloged as part of the University of Tal Varisa Deep Sky Program.
Sutter's Trace was named for Jasum Gaura Sutter, the Dean of The Faculty of Astronomy and Astrophysics of the University of Tal Varisa at the time that the Deep Sky Program was established.
