St. Denis does not meet the criteria for any standard classification.
- It is a Non-Aligned world dominated by human sophonts located in the Old Islands Subsector of Reft Sector.
- This world-system has a Military Base, usually associated with military ground forces, which may be located on or off-world.
- This world is controlled from Sansterre (Reft 2322)
Astrography and Planetology[edit]
Native Lifeforms[edit]
The St. Denis grazer is a beast twice the size of a Human, covered in thick chitinous plates. These blind omnivores travel in large packs, eating constantly as they walk, consuming whatever biomass available to them. Unfortunately this includes any colonists or tourists who get in their way.
History[edit]
St.Denis was colonized from Amondiage (Reft 2325) during the sub-light expansion of the Islands Cluster. It was later annexed by Sansterre (Reft 2322). [2]
World Starport[edit]
St.Denis has a Class D Starport, a poor quality installation which has few of the expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.
World Population (P)[edit]
St Denis has a population of 70,000,000 sophonts (tens of millions).
World Technology Level[edit]
St Denis possesses a Technology Level of TL–7.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Early video and early satellite communication networks.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Early fuel cells, solar energy, and geothermal power sources.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land: Improved automobiles, hovercraft, and bullet trains.
- Water: Hydrofoils and early triphibians.
- Air: Hang gliders and supersonic jets.
- Space: Deep space probes and interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
World Government[edit]
St Denis has a Captive Government or Colony. The world is ruled by an external government, there is no self-rule. This is a colony or conquered area. The local government is an oligarchy appointed by, and answerable only to, the external government.
Governance of this world is from Sansterre.
- Sansterre acquired the world peacefully by means of economic domination. Its people are fully integrated into the Sansterre political system; however, St Denis is kept dependent on Sansterre for high-tech items.
World Law (L)[edit]
St Denis has a moderate law level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. Light assault weapons, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
