History & Background (Dossier)

Oudhurlongkou (Knoellighz 2607) E000205-5 As Lo Ni / Lt is a failed attempt to erect mining interests on an already mineral poor cluster of shattered planets. The presence of two erratic stars and an eccentric and declined orbiting group of five Gas Giants has ripped apart the smaller terrestrial planets. The lack of post-survey interest, initial infrastructure, support and supply traffic has caused Oudhurlongkou to earn a Failing status with a Tech Level deficiency of -3. The very few Prospectors can freely mine the remnant planetoid clusters, liberated from government or tariff. However, the miners must carefully skirt around the local Corsair Base or else suffer an attack. The brazen band or bands, (the Navy is unsure of their exact numbers), of Corsairs are mainly concerned with raiding worlds or slaving to risk resources to raid the abandoned facilities or sporadic and intermittent mining operations.

Oudhurlongkou has no true planetoid belts. The only mining draw is minimal and centered on planetoid fragments of former planets in the inner system. The five Gas Giants are too numerous for the local Corsairs to cover fully, allowing fuel skimming by misjumping vessels and tramp traders seeking a route for smuggling or out of the way pathing.
