The position of Grand Master of the Order of Deneb was held de facto by the Emperor until the appointment of Duke Norris of Regina as Archduke of the Domain of Deneb.

• The subdivisions of the Order of Deneb are :

• Knight/Dame Grand Commanders (G.C.D.): 12 (4 Military Division)
• Knight/Dame Commanders (K.C.D. / D.C.D.): 132 (48 Military Division)
• Knights/Dames (K.D. / D.D.): 2,016 (672 Military Division)
• Companions (C.D.): Unlimited

• Rank and file members of the order receive the title Companion of the Order of Deneb (C.D.). More distinguished members receive the title Knight/Dame of the Order of Deneb (K.D. / D.D.).

Prior to the appointment of the 1st Archduke to the Domain of Deneb, the effective Heraldic device used to stand for the Badge of the Order was derived from the Heraldry of the Domain of Deneb:

» Colors: Or (gold) and Sable (black)

» Blazon: Per Bend wavy, Or and Sable, between four Mmullets of four counterchanged in representative position of the worlds Deneb, Mora, Pax Rulin and Tobia. Over all, an Imperial Starburst voided counterchanged.

• Upon his appointment to the position of Archduke of the Domain of Deneb and his establishment as Sovereign of the Order, the Badge of the Order was taken from the personal arms of Archduke Norris, and consists of a Unicorn representing The Bridled Steed in White (Argent), Rampant against a Field of Blue (Azure).

• The precedence of the order is right after that of the Order of Hlyuea and the Order of Gvadakoung.

History & Background (Dossier)

The Order of Deneb was established by the Empress Jaqueline I with the creation of the Domain of Deneb in 589. However, due to the subsequent events of Jaqueline's assassination and the resulting Civil War, future emperors were rightly fearful of investing too much authority in new high noble titles. As a result, no Archduke of the Domain of Deneb was ever appointed until the elevation of Duke Norris Aella Aledon of Regina to that dignity in the year 1117, who officially established the capital of the Domain on the world of Mora.

• At the time of the elevation of Duke Norris to the dignity of Archduke, its de facto headquarters were established in the administrative building used by Archduke Norris in Wavecrest City on Mora, the capital of the Domain of Deneb. Norris has yet to announce where the permanent headquarters of the order will be built.

Grand Master: Since no Archduke had even been appointed to the Domain of Deneb since its creation by the Empress Jaqueline I in 589, the de facto offices of Sovereign of the Order and the Grand Mastership lay with the Imperial Crown until the year 1118. After 1118 the offices of Grand Master and Sovereign of the Order of Deneb are bestowed upon Duke Norris of Regina at his elevation to the position of Archduke of the Domain of Deneb, who at that time is also the sole Knight Grand Commander within the Order.
