N-space

N-space, or normal space, is the totality of space-time comprising the universe. Relativistic drives must be used to traverse the interstellar stretches. However, significant relativistic effects are not noticeable to most sophonts unless traveling at close to FTL velocities.

N-space is an astrographic term that contrasts with Jumpspace. Jump is defined as the movement of matter from one point in space (...called normal space) to another point in normal space by travelling through an alternate space (...called jumpspace).
