History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Designed and manufactured at TL–6, these vehicles were commissioned and license built for the certain military clients on Paratha (world), in the Ras Tennol Subsector of the Far Home Sector in the Distant Fringe. The vehicle's two man crew have their hands full to say the least. They are designed to operate and maneuver in the open desert. Lightly armored and inexpensive, they represent a pragmatic design aesthetic. The cargo space is essential to survival, food, water and extra fuel cans can mean the difference between life and death for the 15 souls which call these steel boxes home. They stow tents, tools, medical kits, shovels, extra ammo etc. They are light enough and sealed to be amphibious, which is typically irrelevant on their bone-dry home world. However, on certain colonial deployments on behalf of the glorious leader, this feature has proven an unpleasant surprise to enemy forces. Each pair of vehicles can deploy a platoon of thirty troopers. Each platoon has a single medic, with a medical kit. Each squad deploys with a LMG and a pack of ten disposable ATRLs. These vehicles form the basis for a whole series of vehicles, and form the foundation of the three Paratha Combat Brigades.
