Knights of Serenity
The name of this organization is somewhat misleading. The Knights of Serenity have dedicated themselves to gaining independence for Serenity (Zarushagar 2119) from Lucan's Imperium through the use of violence and terror. To date they have taken credit for nearly a dozen attacks on Imperial forces.
The existence of the organization is an embarrassment to Governor-General Guaarin who has been charged by the Emperor with the pacification of Epshu. (Serenity is Guaarin's base of operations in that subsector). The Knights enjoy the support of the population at large. This makes the Governor-General's job of rooting them out and eliminating them that much harder. Although no firm evidence exists, it is believed that the Knights are supported in part by the Brothers of Varian.
