Khtaktatawes is shared between the Aroa'ya minor bloc, and the Ukahawor clan. Once bitter enemies, they have forgotten their bloody past in the face of repeated aggression by Exodus clans. Land on the world is nearly non-existent, and the scarcity prompted the former feud between the two clans. This scarcity has been partially alleviated by an improvement in technology that has opened up the world-ocean floor to settlement. All surface land is now in a joint trust between the two clans, who stringently enforce the peace between their vassals, and new arrivals.
