Physiology

The Isrokian have a dense structure, plated carapace, and manipulators consisting of fine retractable tentacles at the ends of their arms. Their multiple eyes are arrayed on the front and top of their trunk, and are designed for low-light.

History and Background

The Isrokian peoples began to reach out from their homeworld of Isrok, in roughly -1700. It is unknown where the Isrokians developed the Jump Drive, but according to ancient Isrokian texts, they received it from an unknown spacefaring civilization simply known as the Givers. It is theorised that these "Givers" were ancient humans fleeing the fall of the Long Night over Charted Space, and were happy to give technologies to a welcoming world in exchange for supplies. However, as many historical documents were lost in the raging fires of the Ascendancy-Dominion Wars, it is all conjecture.
