A historical polity of the Long Night period. The Islamic High Republic was an interstellar, multi-system government located in the Galloway Subsector.

History & Background

The Islamic High Republic was a former interstellar polity that arose during the Long Night in Galloway Subsector of Alpha Crucis Sector. The Republic was formed by the descendants of colonists from Terran Islamic nations in Europe and Asia-Pacific. These emigres settled Galloway around -1900 in the last major wave of ethnic and religious migration from Terra (Solomani Rim 1827). The Republic was founded in -954 and collapsed in -677 in a civil war.

The Republic's legacy persists in contemporary organizations such as the Solomani Inter-Faith Development Partnership of Alpha Crucis (SIPAC), which indeed was originally proposed as the Solomani Islamic Development Partnership, before it was decided to broaden its scope.
