The EPDF-7 Wallus class Combat Engineering Track is a later industrial era TL-6 Armored Fighting Vehicle.
Description (Specifications)[edit]
EPDF-7 Wallus class Combat Engineering Track, TL-6: The vehicle is unarmored with a large and efficient, improved internal combustion power plant and transmission are linked to a tracked suspension. They are fast for their size, have a low ground pressure, never get stuck off road, and can float, using their tracks to propel them through the water. They carry a variety of engineering equipment including a massive pontoon bridge which they are too large to use themselves. This unit is vital to allow the tanks to cross water obstacles. They can be used to emplace mine fields, they have limited mine detection and removal ability. They are sealed with over pressure to combat NBC/CBR threats. They are unarmed. They lack, even rudimentary, communication and night fighting ability. They are easy to maintain and service.
The vehicle has a crew of one driver with eight combat engineer dismounts. It requires 40 engineers to deploy one 80m³ bridge segment and requires five minutes. This pontoon bridge can support up to 60ton vehicles.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Designed and manufactured at TL–6, these massive, tracked vehicles are the size of off world ATVs and are license built for the Zouave Light Infantry Regiment at Erenim/Natar (Far Home 0412) B786775-6, along the Distant Fringe. These serve in the Zouave regimental combat engineering company. Tracked Fuel Tankers are typically deployed with them to extend their operational endurance and provide some protection ironically.
