A key area is the manufacture and maintenance of all manner of weaponry and armaments, ammunition, military equipment, and military vehicles. It includes the manufacture and maintenance of orbital satellites, stations and platforms. The manufacture of autonomous robots of all kinds, including surveillance drones and heavily armed warbots. The manufacture communicators and larger commo systems, and manage and run communication and data networks. They manufacture sensor systems, personal and starship computer systems, electronic systems and components, and all kinds of technical equipment.

There is a certain amount of cross-over with businesses considered to be part of the Consumer goods, Manufacturing, Heavy Industry, and Aerospace sector.
