Physiology

The Cygmo are humanoid, with weathered, leathery skin and dark eyes. They average 1.5 metres tall.

Psychology

The Cygmo exhibit recognized characteristics of intelligence:

• Conceptual thought, including abstract language.
• Social structure, including social organization.
• Tool use, allowing environmental manipulation.

Cygmo psychology is driven by factors common to many sophonts:

• Acquisition (stemming from the need to gather adequate nutrition),
• Preservation (derived from the need to continue their personal existence), and
• Perpetuation (the urge to continue the species).

History & Background (Dossier)

The barbarian Cygmo share their planet with the more advanced Mitzene.

For centuries the fierce Cygmo tribes preyed on the Mitzene, until the latter invented weapons of a superior standard. Every two years, Cygmos returned en masse to the mountain site where their elected king lived in luxury, bringing with them treasures to be stored in a great cave. After a month or so of drinking, dancing, and bragging of savage kills, they returned to plunder the Mitzenes.

Modern Cygmo move in nomadic tribes of 15-90. Mitzene cities are still well-defended, to discourage Cygmo attack.

Cygmo rarely bathe.
