Otto Talchek is a Human from Gabrael

Otto Talchek is socially awkward and naturally cautious. He has a tendency to sulk, is fearful of physical violence and covers the stresses of life by occasional binge-drinking.

Otto's marriage didn't last the loss of his job at Metal Fabrics. He still has a distant relationship with his ex-Wife as they move in the same social circles. He has no children.

Despite these drawbacks as a crew-member of an Adventure Class Ship, his experience in jump-technology offsets this.

History & Background (Biography)

Otto Talchek attended the University of Atadl majoring in Jump-Space Engineering and minoring in theoretical Physics. In 1126 he returned to Gabrael and took up a role at the maintenance dock of Metal Fabrics where he served his entire career - until the company was bought out by the Imperium as part of the Abandonment in 1136. He managed to scrape by working as an engineer Virus-proofing the planetary infrastructure - but eventually saw that this was a dead-end role and got one of his previous clients to recommend him for the job of the Engineer on the Dog-Tag.
