History and Background

Construction

The Darklight Wanderer was built by Ling Standard Products at Gabrael. It was laid down in 1072 and completed in 1075.

Early Career

The ship never really went far from its origins, although it changed hands a number of times and went by a number of names. It was a true "Free Trader" always being owned by it crew and going wherever they could find a profit. It was also extremely lucky avoiding Pirates and Corsairs (and naval patrols) throughout the Rebellion despite operating on the border between the Vargr states and the Domain of Deneb.

Abandonment Era

It was sheltering in the United Followers of Augurgh when the Abandonment policy of the Regency removed the majority of shipping from the Million Subsector. Thereafter, the vessel plied the Million Subsector (and occasionally the adjacent Atsah Subsector) keeping away from Regency and Vargr entanglements.
