Bvebling has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

Bvebling has a population of 80,000 sophonts (tens of thousands).

• This is a Nonindustrial World, too small to support the complete chain of production of most goods from start to finish.

• Krotan world statistics represent all adult and mobile Krotan. The "shoals" on a given world will hold around 100 sessile pre-adult, senescent or post-adult Krotan for every active adult.

Krotan communicate through audible shell vibrations. With aliens, the Krotan rely on computerised translators. The planet name is representative of nouns as translated into Humanoid-suitable speech.

Bvebling is governed by a Corporate Polity, having a single corporation with a typical corporate structure as a government. Essentially, this is a "company town" (or world). The typical corporate-run world usually has a single purpose. Examples include mining, agriculture, or other kinds of resource extraction. But rather than a simple base of operations, there are facilities for housing workers and their families, including hospitals, schools, and other infrastructure. How, or if, the children of the workers are incorporated into the workforce varies with companies. The corporation running the world may be a subsidiary of a larger interstellar corporation.

• Krotan do not factionalise as most species do. Adult Krotan are a stage in the species' lifecycle between sessile youth and equally sessile old age -- every Krotan adult knows they came from the shoal and will return to it. Disagreement is resolved by the shoal or dealt with through classic Krotan avoidance strategy, ignoring the other party.

World Military

The Krotan have no dedicated military but maintain something like a militia, where individuals learn basic combat skills should they be necessary to protect their world. Their personal weapon technology is relatively primitive for their Tech Level, because they find heavy weapons to be the most efficient way to deal with opposition.
