The star Auva (otherwise known as Minelauva or Delta Virginis) is a pinkish-orange giant star of spectral type M2.5 that belongs to a class of stars known as semiregular variables.

Description (Specifications)[edit]

Auva is associated with a nearby K-type dwarf star that may or may not be gravitationally bound to Auva. If this star is an orbital companion, it would have an orbital period of over 200,000 years.

  • The Auva star system lies approximately 60.8pc from Terra, and is located in a roughly Trailing direction from Terra at bearing 305.5o Galactic Longitude and +66.2o North Galactic Latitude.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

Though it is in the same local area of space, Auva is NOT the primary star of the world Auva/Auva (Alpha Crucis 1113). The primary star of the world Auva is a G3 V star that lies very close to the actual location of the star Auva, which likely lends the world its name.
