History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
A modern, long range strike force used for harassment of 'secure' rear areas. The fleet is assigned to protect the Rure Subsector. Prime targets are logistical support facilities and not front line confrontations. The ships designed for this task have long legs which usually means they forgo heavy armor. This trade-off means they are not designed to fight stand-up battles in line-of battle formations. The plan is to hit hard and get out fast. Firepower and powerful jump drives produce strategic mobility, more vital and highly prized than resilience for these type of missions. Commanders in this unit adopt an assassin's mentality. The current commander has had great success and the unit's morale has been high.
