History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

On low population worlds, a single clan might be all the government there is. On high population worlds, the dominant political entity is usually a coalition of that world’s great clans, the Vhadrakis-Oon.

Demographics: 1105[edit]

Significant populations of the following sophont races reside within this polity:

Law[edit]

Families keep the peace within their territory; clans deal with any inter-family strife. Within a family, the greatmother has complete authority. Crimes involving other family members might be settled between both family's greatmothers. If necessary, the Lumog will arbitrate, enforcing settlements with clan military forces.

Drakaran law requires citizens to act for the public good of other Drakarans. Criminal behaviour includes witnessing a crime and doing nothing to stop it, or failing to report it.

Military & Intelligence (Force Projection)[edit]

The Ashket Vhadrakis Oom, "Military council of the great clans", is the closest thing to a Drakaran interstellar government. It is a shared resource for protection of Drakaran assets in space.

A. Ground Forces: 1105[edit]

  • Ash Trankar

B. Naval Forces: 1105[edit]

  • Ash Lokbar

The Drakarans associated with this government have constructed a fleet. Drakarans take a brute force approach, emphasizing heavy weapons and armour over speed or stealth.

A majority of warships follow the battlerider concept. This resulted from the Drakarans' late acquisition of jump-drive technology and crash naval program; they built tenders capable of carrying their existing non-jump vessels into action.

The navy is divided into three main battle squadrons. There are three ScoutRons as well. The navy has access to a variety of shipyards at a variety of technology levels within its borders (different clans having different resources). Each battle squadron has at least:

Various support vessels are added to task forces as needed.

  • Khaz'akum class Patrol Ship
  • Vr'tahk class Patrol Boat
