Aiaiyal has a tainted atmosphere and limited access to surface water, making it poorly suited to sophont habitation. The system has a population in the hundreds of millions, and it is suited to being a industrial world. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Pact Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector and in the Domain of Vland. Aiaiyal, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight (the Imperial representative to the world) and the fiefdoms of a marquis and a viscount. All three are members of the Imperial Landed Nobility who oversee affairs regarding the world at an Interstellar and Imperial level. 40% of the world's population is the Major Race Aslan. During the Long Night this world was named Enikaarkuu.

History and background[edit]

Aiaiyal was settled in -877 by the Aohalai and Oakhtai'yal clans as a second-generation colony of the Aslan community on Medurma (Dagudashaag 2124).

The world is now an important exporter of high-tech electronics and computer systems and houses drydock and ship construction facilities for Aohalai sector-wide trading firm Aospace. Aiaiyal is a true example of peaceful, constructive cooperation between Humans and Aslan, with each group maintaining its own, distinctive culture.

Aiaiyal is the only planet in Dagudashaag that has managed to successfully cultivate Shifaowoi, a cooking spice from Kusyu (Dark Nebula 1226) that is extremely popular amongst Aslan.

World Starport (St)[edit]

Aiaiyal has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

Urbanization[edit]

The capital is Viis'tas, with a satellite town named Hariin.

Aslan architecture tends to the organic and the rounded. They favour artistry over efficiency in the design of their buildings -- every Aslan structure is different. Even in mass-produced housing, residents will strive to make their territory uniquely theirs.

  • Since Aslan descend from predators and enjoy open terrain, their buildings often feature both open rooms of great size and a number of concealed rooms, balconies, hidden passageways and hideaways.
