Ishag (World) Synopsis

Ishag is a high-population, industrial world with a billion or more sophonts in population size. Its economy is rapidly growing and living conditions are expected to rapidly improve barring outside forces.

Description

Imperial naval procurement was having several obsolete dreadnaughts decommissioned at the fleet depot. Due to a mix up twenty large meson spinal mounts were shipped here by mistake. By the time the confusion had cleared local authorities had installed several deep meson sites on the moons of the gas giants and several in the asteroid belt. The existence of these weapons was made top secret afterward. By local standards the weapons are quite advanced. Local system defense has been uneventful as a result.

History & Background (Dossier)

Ishaq is home to the Darmine, a minor human race. The Darmine are not radically different from their Terran counterparts. Like the Vilani or the Zhodani, any differences are minor. Interbreeding over the millennia has also helped to "wash out" some of the characteristics developed by the Darmine on Ishag.

Mergedisputed.gif This article has two or more sources with conflicting information. Because the conflict has not been resolved, all sources are linked to this article.

The original UWP for this world is listed as B525966-A, whereas the T5 Second Survey updates this to BA98986-A. The description of the Darmine describes them as adapting to a thin atmosphere. While the original very thin atmosphere is too thin to survive, the atmosphere rating should be 5 (thin) rather than 9 (dense tainted).
