Zhodani Naval Special Landing Force
The Zhodani Naval Special Landing Force are elite shipboard troops employed by the Zhodani Navy.
- For the Zhodani Consulate the ZNSLF serve aboard naval vessels in much the same way as Imperial Marines.[1]
Description (Specifications)
The Zhodani Naval Special Landing Forces are not a separate branch or service within the Zhodani Combined Interstellar Forces. They are specially selected , trained and equipped members of the Consulate Navy. The ZNSLF is primarily tasked with duties supporting the fleet operations and securing the Consulate naval facilities. Squadrons (Battalions) are formed in the advent of the seizure and construction of naval bases. The ZNSLF is uniformly trained to operate in hostile environmental conditions such as vacuums, exotic atmospheres, and zero gravity environments.[2]
Specialist Units
ZSNLF Jump Troops
Within the ZSNLF are Detachments (Platoons), Troops (companies) and rarely Squadrons(Battalions)of Jump Trained orbital insertions troops. The mission of these units are to establish beachheads, conduct raids and special reconnaissance. Usually the distribution of these expensive highly-trained proficient troops is one to two Squadrons per fleet. Each squadron like the standard Zhodani is a Headquarters & Services Troop (company) and four Jump Troops (Companies). Within each squadrons they contain a Psi detachment twice the size of the normal Lift Infantry Battalions. The double allotment of personal is in order to embed in small unit missions. [3]
Reconnaissance Deatchments
Also within the Jump Squadrons of the ZNSLF are the Reconnaissance Detachments, who differ from the Consular Guard Commandos in that they are not teleport trained, but are made of up of highly skilled reconnaissance teams of 6-8 Recce troopers specializing in close reconnaissance and special reconnaissance. The Team leader’s and Assistant Team Leader’s are usually commissioned specialists who have clairvoyance, and telepathy. The remaining team members are specialized in communications, demolitions, remote medicine and intelligence skills sets. More often than not these troops, especially those deployed against the imperium are of assimilated solomani/vilani descent for biometric concealment The ZSNLF Reconnaissance Deatchment consists of a Command Section, Communications Section, and eight Reconnaisance Teams. Equipment
They are equipped with TL–14 Fusion Weapons and Battledress whenever possible. At the very least they have Combat Armor and Gauss Rifles. The ZNSLF makes extensive use of warbots, and when encountered in formations above the Company level the Psionic Detachments are encountered. This includes reconnaissance-clairvoyants and telekinetic scramblers.[5]
TO&E
The Zhodani Special Naval Landing Force is usually encounter in the small ship detachments exhibited below. The larger formations are four detachments and a command section are within a ZSNLF Troop. A squadron contains a Headquarters and Services Troop, four to six ZSNLF Rifle Troops, a Lift Cavalry Troop, and a Weapons Troop with Indriect Fires and Point Defense sub-units. The largest ZSNLF is at the fleet level usually containing a Headquarters Troop, four to six ZSNLF squadrons and logistics and Support Troop. These units are rarely consolidated unless needed for larger operations. [6]

- ZNSLF Model of Combat Armor has the following features: Magnetic Soles and Palms; Image Enchanced Faceplate; and Shock Absorbing Joints.
- The Hostile Egress Posterior Module for operations in hostile enviroment inclues a small power pack, oxygen enhanced supply of 8 hours and CO2 scrubbing filters, and the Manuver-adjustment propulsion unit (uses trapped compressed CO2).
- ZNSLF Model of Combat Armor has the following features: Magnetic Soles and Palms; Image Enchanced Faceplate; and Shock Absorbing Joints.

History & Background (Dossier)
When the ZNSLF is most frequently encountered it is a ship’s troops about the vessels of the Consulate navy. Corvettes will carry usually a section, frigates or corvette transports a Detachment or "half-platoon", Cruisers typically carry a reinforced platoon of these troopers.[7]
