Meta-History

The "Destiny Class 200t Yacht" by Robert Pearce (here and here) was the inspiration for this vessel. The design described in these pages page was reverse engineered from the floor plans, adjusted to make the design valid under New Traveller's High Guard, and re-drawn.

This version thus has three decks rather than two - the third being fuel tanks and landing gear. It has switched the Galley and Medical Facilities as suggested in the comments on Robert's website, taken on the fact that the design has to be over 200 dtons to support the functions suggested, etc., and has allowed the crew to get to the engines without disturbing the guests. It has also increased its sensor and EW capabilities and upped it's defences should it ever be attacked and addressed the chronic shortage of cargo space for the High-Class passenger's luggage.

Thus this vessel is a different ship to the original, but in many ways familiar.

Build Methodology

The basic design has been using New Traveller's High Guard.

Where that rule set has generalised some details, those details have been filled in from Traveller: The New Era's Fire, Fusion, & Steel.
