A non-industrial, agricultural world and member of the Imperium, located in the Vilis Subsector of the Spinward Marches with a population of 9.67 million 1117. Margesi has a normal climate.

Margesi was originally settled in -186 by Sword Worlders from Gram who named it Isenfang. Margesi became an Imperial client state in 849, but was annexed by the Sword Worlds Confederation in 983. The Imperium liberated the world during the Fourth Frontier War and Margesi was granted full Imperial membership in 1087.

Margesi has been issued an Amber Zone travel advisory due its location on the border with the Sword Worlds Confederation. Internal disputes within the Confederation all-too-often spill over the border and into the Margesi system.

Margesi's population is divided more or less evenly between two states, the Republic of Gome and the Kingdom of Evariidi.
