Ansazar-Xelan System
The primary is Ansazar, a huge red giant star. It has a luminosity of 1194 Sols, a mass of 6.74 Sols, and a diameter of 179 million km – the corona lies at 0.6 AU, just within orbital position (III). The inner system consists of (III) a very hot small gas giant orbiting very close to the surface of the star, (VII) a sparse stony planetoid belt, and (VIII) a corrosive atmosphere inferno world – orbital positions (I) and (II) lie within the star and orbital positions (IV), (V) and (VI) are empty. (IX-I) an exotic atmosphere stormworld, and (IX-II) Xelan, designated the mainworld, have a shared orbit within the habitable zone. (X) an exotic atmosphere bigworld, (XI) a ringed large gas giant, (XII-I) a large gas giant, (XII-II) a ringed small ice giant, (XIII-I) a vacuum iceworld, (XIII-II) a vacuum iceworld, and (XIV) a dense icy planetoid belt form the outer system. Many of the worlds retain satellites.

(IX-II) Xelan
(IX-II) Xelan is designated the mainworld. It orbits Ansazar at a mean distance of 43.5 AU (6.51 billion km), within the outer edge of the habitable zone. It has an orbital period of 110 years 187 days and a rotation period of 126 hours. The axial tilt is 2 degrees. Xelan has a diameter of 2,934 km, a density of 5.78 g/cm³, and a surface gravity of 0.24 G. The world is geologically active. Its atmosphere is rated as Trace, with a mean surface pressure of 0.09 bar and a composition of 88% carbon dioxide (CO2), 10% nitrogen (N2), 1% argon (Ar), and 1% methane (CH4), carbon monoxide (CO), water vapor (H2O), abiotic oxygen (O2), neon (Ne) and other trace gases. Approximately 11% of the surface is covered in sheets of water-ice. Mean surface temperature: -35°C. The climate is rated as Cold and is static, with no seasonal changes during the local year. The atmosphere is ethereal and very weak weather systems driven by the star ghost across the globe.
