The Lemkhi Imperial university of space sciences (LIUSS) was granted an Imperial charter in 1013 when the number of academic and related personnel exceeded the non-research personnel on what previous was a small Imperial research base. The main university is located on Lemkhi (Dagudashaag 2908). It is known primarily for its studies in astronomy and astrophysics, with a smaller group working on theoretical jump mechanics.

The university also operates a small base on Kassandra (Dagudashaag 3208). This base operates a series of space borne telescopes in the system.

The current principle, Count Shannash Elhodiri, holds the post for both his research history and ability to drum up research funds. The Megacorporations Naasirka, Sharurshid, and Makhidkarun all fund research, along with numerous other corporations and individuals.
