Chamberlain Preparatory College for Ladies and Gentlebeings of Distinction
Chamberlain Preparatory College for Ladies and Gentlebeings of Distinction is located on Perkurshir (Dagudashaag 0927). The college was set up during the First Imperium as a boarding school for the childern of Makhidkarun executives. It closed down during the Long Night, but was re-established in -113 by Sir Bartholm Chamberlain of Medurma (Dagudashaag 2124).
The school is very exclusive and was originally restricted to confirmed high nobility only. The school has gradually relaxed this entrance requirement, concentrating more on the applicant's academic abilities and ability to pay. The school accepts both males and females, though the two sexes are kept completely segregated, meeting only at arranged social events, some sporting events, and military exercises.
Despite the high fees, the school has a reputation for toughness; even children as young as five get up early in the morning, participate in several hours of physical exercise, and several periods of mandatory study, in addition to the normal schooling.
When a child reaches the age of twelve, their guardians are given the choice of specialization in either the Finishing school or attending the Naval Academy. The Imperial Navy maintains a small base on Perkurshir to serve as the Academy training center.
The finishing school facilities include a complete, full size, mockup of the Imperial Throne room. There is also a complete holographic library used for training exercises.
Regardless of which specialization is chosen, all pupils must take a six month secondment in the other chapter of the school during their second year.
Even the Imperial family had both Varian and Lucan attend the school for two terms.
