Monodal is a nonindustrial world, that requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society.

• In a technological universe, societies without industrial capability generally suffer as nearly all manufactured and high tech goods must be brought in at significant cost.
• As a nonindustrial world, it requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. The need to import most manufactured and high technology goods drives the price of these goods up in the open market.
• It is a Non-Aligned world dominated by human sophonts located in the Zowie Subsector of Halcyon Sector.

Monodal (1421 Halcyon) is a pleasant garden world with a temperate climate and abundant native life. Monodali marble, an extremely fine rose-coloured stone, is widely sought for prestige architectural projects. Easily worked sources of the stone are nearly tapped out, requiring dangerous and costly quarrying expeditions into the world’s outback to secure new supplies. Monodal lies on the Elemid Trace Star Lane.
