The class was commissioned for the 146th Fleet, in the Oreo Subsector.

The ship carries the mandated Alfred Class Gunboat. A noble decided that every ship in the fleet should carry one of these 90 ton Gunboats. The ship has scoops, but no purification plant. The partially streamlined close configuration hull is unarmored. This allows for gas giant refueling. The ship has 3 G acceleration and 1 agility. The ship carries enough fuel for one jump 3. Its main armament is a spinal mounted meson gun. It also carries a pair of missile bays, ten dual fusion gun turrets, ten triple beam laser turrets, and twenty triple sand caster turrets for defense. The screen are mediocre, one of many compromises needed to accommodate the meson gun in a hull this size. Larger than normal destroyers, yet considered too small to be a true cruiser. The ability to destroy enemy shipping takes priority over its own survival. Range and speed also suffered as a result of this martial mindset.
