Poice

Poice is short for "Perception voice," a non-verbal language.

• It is a portmanteau word.

Description (Specifications)

Perception detects life and the emotions behind that life, instincts to intuition. The background one hears when all other audible sounds are absent. It is perceived using the perception sense.

Poice is perhaps best understood as the background noise, the static, generated by all living organisms. It permeates realspace in a similar way to electromagnetic energy, and is strongest around worlds rich with life and weakest in the voids between the stars.

History & Background (Dossier)

Perception appears to be a biologically-based sense. Awareness is based on electric fields. Poice is not pherochemical communication or a different kind of exotic communication. It is related in a manner of speaking to the electrical coronal discharges that can be imaged by Kirlian photography. So, it is both biological and electrical... it's bioelectrical in nature.

Poice is conjectured by many to be a psionic communication method similar to Telepathy but involving Telempathy.
