Those regions of low stellar density surrounding the Distant Fringe on its immediate spinward, coreward and trailing sides.

Description / Specifications

They are perceived as a natural protective barrier against any advance into the region by the Vilani Imperium. They are connected to the Great Void, to rimward, and also connect to the Border Rifts between Halcyon Sector and Far Home Sector.

The Bourne Cloud, located in Bourne Sector, lies within the Moat Rifts.
