Aleshanee is an icy vacuum world with little or no atmosphere and a significant quantity of water frozen on the surface. The system has a population between 10,000 and 10 million, lacking the industrial base to be completely self-supporting. Government control of this world is by an external military force. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Udusis Subsector of Empty Quarter Sector and in the Domain of Antares. Aleshanee, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight, a member of the Imperial Landed Nobility who acts as an Imperial representative to the world.

History and Background

The moon of Aleshansee is christened after a girl's name from the Coos tribe of Native American Indians, meaning 'She plays all the time'.

Aleshanee herself is a fairly non-descript moon orbiting the small, white gas giant of Coos in the outer reaches of the solar system. An important cultural and educational institution, the Caunotaucarius Imperial Finishing School Founded in 259, is located on Aleshanee, where the children of ‘Nobles in embarrassing circumstances’ are trained for Imperial service. All costs are assumed by the Imperial College of Arms. Aleshanee has been an Amerindian system since the early days of the Third Imperium, but despite her prestige as a noble academy, can only maintain a small population.

World Starport

TBD has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
