A Military Unit recognised by the Imperial Army.

Description (Specifications)[edit]

A unit sized between a Brigade and a Corps.

A Division is typically commanded by a Major General.

Divisions are routinely deployed by the Imperial Army for planetary actions but are rarely deployed by the Imperial Marines, except for major large-scale actions.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

As the unit size one larger than a Brigade, this is a long-standing standard definition that has been around since pre-space days.

Divisions typically field a number of Battalions to be about 20 times as combat effective as a Battalion alone.[1]
