A Liter is a unit of measurement of volume.

Description (Specifications)

A liter is a frequently use unit of measurement of volume used for equipment and robotic design. Designers comfortable with liters use the kiloliter when designing vehicles and spacecraft. The Imperial standard for starship volume measurement is the Ton.

A cube with a volume of 1 liter has dimensions of 100 mm x 100 mm x 100 mm.

History & Background (Dossier)

The Liter was first defined as a unit of volume on Terra prior to the foundation of the Terran Confederation. Technologists found the Liter useful as the concept of the Technology Level and standardized ideas about sophont society development began to take form.[1]
