Nexus Fleet Forces

Designed and built in the Nexus system, the Hive Class Scout is a small vessel designed for discreet reconnaissance but used for a wide variety of roles.

Hull / Engineering

The Hive Class is designed around a 100 dTon fully streamlined cone hull. It is fitted with fuel scoops and onboard fuel purification for wilderness refueling. The class is a long-range design: they carry enough internal fuel for two consecutive jump 2s and have sufficient additional capacity to run the power plant for 4 weeks. They are capable of 2G constant acceleration and have an agility rating of 2.

• Droptanks: The class is fitted with Droptanks capable of supporting an additional jump 2, allowing extended range operations.

Main Section

The design mounts a model 2 computer adjacent to the bridge. The vessel has three crew: a pilot, a gunner and a medic. Accommodations include X Staterooms, sufficient for the crew. The cryo section contains two low berths. Cargo capacity: 2 dTons.

The class carries four Shuttles and four Launches for flexibility in cargo handling. Some vessels have been modified to carry passengers.
