Orometi

A common language within the Distant Fringe

Description

Orometi is the main spoken language of the Protectorate, the language the Empire and a common language throughout the coreward-spinward quadrant of Far Home Sector. It is primarily derived from Bengali, Urdu and other south asian languages widely spoken within the First Confederation.

History & Background

Orometi has a large number of Fleet Anglic inclusions and local words and phrases. Orometi speakers can understand many words and phrases of Padori. Its name comes from Oromet (2710 Far Home), which has the highest concentration of native speakers.
