Description / Specifications
A large composite structure purpose-built around a massive hull and containing hydrogen fuel tanks, berthing facilities, hangers, and accommodations.
History & Background / Dossier
The first Tiik'sch Waypoint was operational from the beginning of the 26th century. Its construction opened the Sha’a Cluster to jump-1 travel and settlement. The waypoint was destroyed around 3730AD when the Voyagers arrived in the distant Fringe.
A second Tiik'sch Waypoint was constructed in the same location around 5100AD, at the close of the Golden Age. It was a link in the Jump Bridge between the K’shek cluster and the Sha’a Cluster. It was decommissioned in 5560AD due to its increasingly poor condition and the growing availability of domestically produced jump-2 starships. It was broken up for scrap in the 5580s.
