The Parliamentary Monarchists are a political faction within the government of the Third Imperium.
Description (Specifications)
Parliamentary Monarchists are a faction within both the Moot Monarchist Bloc and the Imperial Monarchist Movement. While they support the hereditary monarchy ruling from the Iridium Throne, they also support granting expanded legislative powers to the Imperial Moot, which would have the effect of turning the Third Imperium into a type of parliamentary system. Under this system the Emperor would still retain veto power over bills passed by the Moot, however.
Governmental Reforms
In addition to expanding the Moot's lawmaking powers, the Parliamentary Monarchists desire to vest executive authority in a Council of Ministers. Some of them also support granting the Moot more of a say in who would be granted titles within the system of Imperial Nobility and the revoking of noble status, especially regarding the Archdukes and the Sector Dukes.
The Parliamentary Monarchists represent a middle path between more traditional Monarchists and the Moot's Republican Faction.
