History & Background (Dossier)

Since deep within the Long Night, Glenelg was a Reaver staging base for raids on Caledonian (and later Imperial) interests to trailing. As technology levels rebounded after 0, many of the most powerful Reaver bands were in effect proxies of the pseudo-national Khan World League.

The Khan-proxy Reavers that launched the fateful raid on Stirling in 370, beginning the Reaver War, launched from Glenelg. The Caledonian counteroffensive reached Glenelg shortly thereafter, and quickly routed Reaver forces from the system.

World Starport (Sp)

Glenelg has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which features amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.

World Government

Today, Glenelg is a reasonably prosperous frontier backwater. It is ruled in a pseudo-feudal system centered in seven duchies, ruled by hereditary Dukes, each with a different approach to law and personal freedom.
