Elisha Gilbert Mantle, 3rd Count of Scybria, 2380AD–2466AD. A powerful industrialist and the patriarch of the Mantle family.
Description / Specifications
The Mantles were “Fives” with extensive estates throughout the coreward half of Halcyon Sector, with the core of their holdings on Scybria. Elisha Mantle was a man with deep religious and social convictions and found himself increasingly troubled by the inequality he saw within the Second Confederation.
History & Background / Dossier
During his life he donated most of his family wealth and holdings – largely in the coreward half of Halcyon sector, and not without resistance from his kith and kin – to public ownership and charitable bodies. He established Foundations to improve worlds and social conditions, and tried to ensure that everyone, whether descended from Fives or from Gens, had at least a chance to make the most of their lives.
