Ikkimam/Gimushi (Empty Quarter 1037 B632643-9)

So far no less than six colonies have tried to make a go of Ikkimam and not one has succeeded. While the atmosphere is too thin to breath it should be fine for growing crops, yet the crops mostly seem to fail. There are no minerals of appreciable value on the planet but it is a large planet with decent gravity and plenty of space. This was the line used by Lady Yolande Lans Crussk when she began to set up the latest colonial attempt on Ikkimam. She set up a first rate downport and offered people high incentives to come and settle the planet. However, the crops haven’t grown well and the colony is slowly starving. Crussk herself died in 899 but the 8 million colonists are still trying to keep the colony going.
