Pamnagagur is a garden world with an environment conducive to most sophonts. The system has a population between 10,000 and 100,000, lacking the population to be an agricultural supplier. This world is a satellite of a gas giant or another planet in the system. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Gadde Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector and in the Domain of Vland. Pamnagagur, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estates of an Imperial knight (the Imperial representative to the world) and a baronet. Both are members of the Imperial Landed Nobility who oversee affairs regarding the world at an Interstellar and Imperial level. This world contains an Imperial Scout Base, capable of handling Scout Service starships and personnel. During the Long Night this world was named Demir.
Astrography and Planetology
Pamnagagur is a member of the Sylean Main.
Stellar Data
Mainworld Data
This planet is the third satellite of the large gas giant Dalsarin.
History and Background
When the subsector was first surveyed Pamnagagur was listed as a prime agricultural site. It was subsequently declared an Imperial reserve; the system was placed under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Colonization and held for future needs. Those needs were deemed to be pressing by the dawn of the eleventh century and Pamnagagur was opened for colonization. Over ninety thousand settlers, mostly from high population worlds in Core Sector, have relocated to Pamnagagur.
Most live in prefabricated towns doted around the southern pole. More are arriving and it is believed that large scale commercial agriculture will begin within the next five years. At present, the world is still governed by the Ministry of Colonization although the reins of power are likely to be handed across to a locally elected government in the near future. There has been opposition to the settlement by environmental groups who believe that the world's delicate ecosystem is under threat.
World Starport (St)
Pamnagagur has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which features amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.
