Description (Specifications)

Vixen class Light Helicopter (TECH LEVEL 10): The helicopter has enhanced controls and avionics. It has a crew of 1 pilot in a complex cockpit. They can carry 8 commando passengers.

Equipment: a 0.2kg wire cutter, image enhancement, 9 cannisters of chaff 15cm, the pilot has on-demand thermal vision integral to their flight helmet.

Power: The engines consume 200 liters of fuel per hour, internal fuel capacity 400 liters, enough for 2 hours. One way range: 380km on internal fuel.

Weapons:

There is a stabilized air-cooled laser rifle in a ventral targeting pod under the nose. This laser can be used for target designating the cluster bombs. It can engage a single target, and has a battery for 100 shots. Its direct fire characteristics are:

There are twenty 3kg capacity TAC missile launch rails, in two weapon pods on either side of the fuselage. There is no on-board guidance provided. The Mite class missiles have a homing guidance package or target designated. They mount 7cm HEAP 34 warheads, ill suited for the air-to-air role, but ideal for anti-tank work. The missiles cost Cr304.5 each and have a 1km range. Ten homing and ten target designated are included in the price.

History & Background (Dossier)

Designed and manufactured at TL–10, these vehicles were commissioned and license built for Pam's Peacekeepers. They serve as a troop transport to insert and exfiltrate the airborne commando squads.
