The Unity of Sed 3T Grav Tanks are reliant on dedicated psionic specialists for effective employment. Telepathic talents and clairvoyant scouts are necessary to help them stay in contact with their chain of command and to locate targets. Their restricted communication suite and lack of sensors was deliberate with the assumption these psionic directors would be available and within operational range either in separate vehicles or as crew. This was intended to lower their vulnerability to electronic counter-measures and jamming. This would also lower their radiated EMS signature and make them harder to spot. Their fusion guns are however, a dead give away. The Grav APCs on the other hand, were seen as being for the less reliable infantry. Their lower status meant that they needed more traditional sensors and communication gear to correctly carry out their assigned tasks. Their weapons load is stealthier and it makes them harder to spot. The abundance of psionic talents influences the effectiveness of the military units as a result. Otherwise, the Grav Tanks will end up needing a seeing eye dog to find targets and the APCs will have to guide them in exchange for artillery help. Tactical experts among the The Last Line feel that this might be a weakness they maybe able to exploit in their current conflict. Some of the avionics, fire control systems and ammunition are not really up to TL–12 standards and may reflect lower technology work arounds or imports.
