Trans-Neworld Reaches

An unofficial designation used in the Solomani Confederation, referring to space located rimward and trailing of Confederation territory.

The Trans-Neworld Reaches are a border zone between the Confederation and the Hive Federation, and largely a region of non-aligned space.

Troubles here are more commonly internal than external, or at least this is the general appearance. As always when Hivers are involved, there is a great deal of paranoia and suspicion that any given conflict might be the result of Hiver machinations. That said, it is more likely that this developing region is simply going through difficult times as its power structures coalesce. SolSec and the Solomani Party are prevalent here as the Solomani Confederation works to secure its border, but there are many agendas and development plans, often conflicting. As the leadership of the Confederation Navy are reluctant to commit main fleet assets to police a region that is not threatened by external enemies, the area remains a wild frontier.
