Description / Specifications

It is sometimes known by the alternative name of Ixteline Cluster, in light of Ixteline's industrial significance.

The Third Imperium fully controls the cluster, which is comfortably within Imperial space. A Naval Base at Enmish hosts elements of the Imperial 178th Fleet.

History & Background (Dossier)

The Tonnes Cluster was approved for colonization in -1951. Applications for settlement were processed from the ten nearest Human worlds, and groups of 500 were selected for each planet. While Ixteline and Enmish were outfitted only with automated repair stations, Kaiid, Girshi, and Tonnes itself received colonists. Each colony was supplied with mining equipment, construction tools, and medical equipment.

During the Long Night, the Tonnes Cluster was cut off from the wider interstellar community.

The modern population of the cluster is largely the product of more recent colonization drives under the aegis of the Third Imperium.
