Talk:Medal for Conspicuous Gallantry
Notes (2017)[edit]
This medal is more or less the equivalent of the modern US Armed Forces medal known as the Silver Star, or the British Conspicuous Gallantry Cross.

Question (2021)[edit]
The medal ribbons are usually unique to allow the ribbon to substitute for the medal. The use of plain blue, and red ribbons (the same as the MCUF) ensures that this doesn't work!

- Perhaps, but the artwork that Bleddyn Wilson created for the medals (as pictured in the articles) are taken directly from the descriptions in GURPS Traveller: Ground Forces. One could perhaps argue that the ribbon on the Exemplary Service Cluster has a designation-pin on it saying "MCUFx2" or "MCGx1", for example, or some other marker pinned to the ribbon on the cluster to distinguish between MCUF and MCG. Alternatively, perhaps all the ribbons really need is a thin colored edge at each side-border that distinguishes an MCG ribbon (e.g. silver-white) from an MCUF ribbon (e.g. golden-bronze).

It gets better - The T5 artwork shows a completely different ribbon and medal set!

Request and Answer[edit]
MM approved the medals in emails with him in the spring of 2019. But, because of the pervasive nitpicking and the fact that I don't like my work being stolen (By mongoose, or other players),as the copyright owner, I am notifying the Wiki editors that all my artwork is to be removed and deleted from the Wiki as soon as possible. I have screenshotted the edit and page histories of everything I have worked on in the event there is another event of plagiarism and of IP Theft.
